The Loko-track LT7150 mobile VSI plant is designed for final stage crushing when producing high-quality cubical aggregate, road base and prime manufactured sand. Units are built around a proven Barmac B-series vertical shaft impactor, featuring rock-on-rock crushing action. The Barmac VSI’s 840 DTR rotor accepts feed sizes up to 2.6 inches (66 mm), accelerates material and continuously discharges into the crushing chamber. Particle exit velocities range between 150 to 245 feet/second (45 to 75 m/s) and the crusher runs on a direct hydraulic motor, eliminating the need for V-belts, and enabling a fully-adjustable tip speed using an automated control panel. Units are fitted with a metal detector, and feature a large 6.5 yd³ (5 m³) feed hopper as well as an efficient 415-hp (310 kW) environmentally-friendly Tier III compliant Cat C13 diesel.
