New generation of tracked jaw crushers introduced

The track XR400 is Terex Pegson’s new generation hydraulic-release jaw plant. These units feature an “M” Series single toggle design, and provide hydraulic overload protection, very high throughput, excellent reduction capability, and greater protection against damage from tramp iron and rebar in the feed. An aggressive, high-swing jaw can accept large feed, and users can quickly change machine settings with no drawback rod adjustment. The XR400 will process up to 400 tph, with very low fuel consumption (typically less than six gallons per hour) which is due in part to a highly efficient HFO direct drive system. A hydraulic folding feed hopper on the XR400, excellent under-crusher access with an underscreen feeder option, and a self-supporting hydraulic folding feed hopper with wedgelock system enables easy setup. Units use a Caterpillar C9 powerpack, and include an improved, more rugged single electrical control system for plant and engine. CE and ANSI wire mesh or sheet metal guards are used on all drives, fl ywheels, pulleys and couplings, and a PLC Can-bus control system manages the feeder start/stop/ speed, product conveyor start/stop/lower, crusher adjustment, and product conveyor raise/lower. Product conveyor discharge height is 13 feet, and the conveyor raises and lowers hydraulically. Other key features of the XR400 include: a cantilever vibrating grizzly spring-mounted vibrating pan with twin heavy-duty cast eccentric shafts running in spherical roller bearings; dust suppression sprays; supertooth jaws; a side/dirt conveyor; overband magnetic separator; and radio remote control.
