Fuchs unveils MHL 335 handler at ISRI
The new Terex Fuchs MHL 335 Material Handler features an operating weight up to 55,115 pounds (25 t), double-row slew ring, a stout undercarriage with a wheelbase of 9.2 feet (2.8 m) and wide stance between stabilizers of 14.3 feet (4.37 m). These machines are designed to optimize the balance between operating weight, reach and stability to enhance lifting capacities. A variety of attachment offerings as well as three maximum reach configura-tions are available, with a standard of 39.4 feet (12 m), and optional 36-foot (11 m) or 35-foot (10.7 m) multi-function sticks. The MHL 335 can be adapted for applications ranging from scrap recycling to handling waste at transfer stations. Hydraulic lifting cylinders with end-of-stroke cushioning feature an inverted mounting position to reduce dust and moisture infiltration for maximum durability, and the optional 35-foot multifunction stick includes a stick-mounted hydraulic cylinder to allow up-and-down tilting of attachments.

The MHL 335 hydraulic system features load-limit sensing control for optimal use of the machine’s power and delivers a maximum 100 gal/min (380 l/ min) flow for efficient and responsive operations. Combined with precise coordination of the slewing motor and gear, the MHL 335 offers very quick manoeuvring. Other key features of the Terex Fuchs MHL 335 include: easily accessible large surface area coolers; a hydraulically elevating cab that reaches a 17.4-ft (5.3-m); a multi-function colour display; and an improved cab design. The new MHL 335 is powered by a turbocharged and watercooled 153-hp (114-kW) diesel engine with direct common-rail fuel injection that meets both Tier III and Com III emissions standards. Fuchs also recently updated their MHL 380 model, which is especially ideal for portside operation, partly due to its reach of 69 feet (21 m). The updated 380s also include advancements made to the slewing function, hydraulic system and operator cab environment, and feature an operating weight up to 147,710 pounds (67 t). The MHL 380D is among the most powerful and productive machines in the Terex Fuchs material handler range.
