Avis Industrial Corporation appoints Mark Murphy and Gordon Hill to new roles

Avis Industrial Corporation has added both Mark Murphy and Gordon Hill to the recently formed Recycling & Waste Equipment Division. Avis Industrial Corporation

The Recycling & Waste Equipment Division of Avis Industrial Corporation added two people to the organization. The Recycling & Waste Equipment Division is a recent formation that brings together American Baler Company, Harris Waste Management Group, and International Baler Corporation. These two recent appointments will work to help grow Avis' Recycling & Waste Equipment Division. Learn more about the new division here.

Mark Murphy has been named the vice president of manufacturing and supply chain. He is responsible for standardizing and streamlining activities across four manufacturing locations and three procurement organizations by leveraging the capabilities and scope of the combined divisional organization. Mark joins the division following over 20 years with WestRock with executive leadership experience in operations and risk management. Mark most recently served as the president and general manager of Seven Hill Paperboard Mill in Lynchburg, V.A. Mark is a graduate of the University of Georgia with bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Administration. 

Gordon Hill has been named the vice president of commercial operations. He is responsible for developing a unified go-to-market strategy encompassing the product offerings across the three baler companies. Gordon has been part of Avis for the past two years as the president and general manager of Pacific Forge based in Fontana, C.A. Gordon brings over 30 years of site operations and business general management experience with a track record for sales growth through effective product line profitability and brand repositioning. Gordon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both chemical and mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri as well as two Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University and Business Administration from the University of Houston.

The three companies comprising the Recycling & Waste Equipment Division have been in business for 289 years combined and operate four manufacturing locations. The combined product offering of the division includes single-ram, horizontal, two-ram, ferrous and specialty balers, scrap metal and automobile shear/baler/loggers, heavy-duty shredders and high-volume waste, and scrap compactors.
