The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) was recently named the recipient of a 2015 MarCom Platinum Award, in the category of App for Information. The award was given for ISRI’s iPhone and Android app ISRI Mobile. The app provides safety resources, industry news and events, commodities facts and figures, and ISRI Chapter listings. ISRI members can use a searchable Member Directory, connect with state and federal elected officials, read the latest edition of Scrap magazine, publications and governance documents, and more.

“Whether working in their facility or traveling on business, those in the recycling industry are frequently on the move. ISRI Mobile was designed to be a cutting-edge app that provides recyclers with the tools and resources they need to conduct business where ever they may be,” said Mark Carpenter, director of media relations and online communications for ISRI. “No other trade association provides the value of such an app to its members or others in the industry. It is an honor for ISRI to be recognized by those in the communications and marketing field as a leader in such technology.”
