Heavy-duty CPS Series single shaft pipe shredders

Available in two rotor dimensions, 980mm and 1,430mm (39- and 56-inches), Cumberland’s CPS Series single shaft pipe shredders are equipped with rotary cutters that operate at low speed for smooth and efficient size reduction. With no need to pre-cut materials (up to 25 feet in length) the CPS was developed for reducing the size of pipes up to 1,200mm (47 inches) in diameter for materials such as UPVC, PE and PP. The CPS Series pipe shredder reduces material to approximately 1 to 4 inches when combined with a Cumberland granulator, which can be stacked two stage or in-line with conveyors. Output material sizes can range from 1/8 inch to 1/2 inch, with the granulator averaging 150 percent of its stated throughputs without using heavy power consumption.

CXS series shredder

CXS series shredder

CXS Series single shaft shredders are designed for processing plastic waste for reclamation and recycling, and can handle everything from large extrud-er purgings to medical waste, cardboard, synthetic fibre and carpet. CXS Series shredders feature a large 29.5-inch (750 mm) diameter rotor for positive ingestion, and bolted-in cutter seats allow for easy removal and maintenance. Plus, the low speed rotor on these machines (54 rpm) transmits high cutting torque for tough applications.

CXS Series single shaft shredders are designed for processing plastic waste for reclamation and recycling and can handle everything from large extruder purgings to medical waste, cardboard, synthetic fibre and carpet. The CXS1500, CXS2000 and CXS3000 shredder models are built with rugged construction with numerous configurations available to suit just about any need. Three different rotor types are available for flexible processing, and each rotor is equipped with square cutters (60 mm). Heat build-up and degradation are reduced with these units, and serrated ram plates hold materials into the rotor, making processing large awkward pieces easier. A sturdy “swing-style” ram minimizes space and allows product to fall into the rotor, and outboard mounted bearings reduce contamination.
