Indorama Ventures' new recycling plant in Guadalajara, Mexico will be operational in the fall of 2019. Located at the company's Ecomex JV site, in close proximity to their resin production, the facility will include a new plastics washing plant purposely developed by AMUT Group to cope with the necessity of processing very dirty PET post-consumer, landfill-collected bottles. These bottles require a wet-cold-cleaning technology, which has been incorporated in the operation's de-labeller unit. The AMUT De-Labeller on site removes labels, especially the full body shrink sleeves, improving the bottles' quality to go through subsequent cleaning operations.

AMUT North America, established in 2013, is part of the Italy-based AMUT Group. AMUT is a specialist in the manufacture and supply of equipment, technology and systems for thermoforming, washing, extrusion and plastics recycling applications.
"We are glad to have scored another top reference in the Northern America plastic recycling market," stated Mr. Piergianni Milani, the President of AMUT GROUP. "The CarbonLITE PET recycling project comes after the two mega PET recycling plants that AMUT supplied in North America to UNIFI in Reidsville, North Carolina, and to PETSTAR Coca-Cola Mexico."
AMUT COMI, Division specialized in thermoforming solutions, presents a new generation of machines, the VPK C84 series: off-line or in-line configuration, 3 or 4 stations model are both available. The VPK C84 machine is suitable to handle different materials, such as PET, PP, PS, PLA, PVC and to produce many items: trays, lids, berry boxes, clamshells, nursery trays and plates.
AMUT GROUP is set to show its range of 100% Italian-made solutions for plastics materials processing and recycling at this year's IFAT 2016, the World's Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management, held from May 30 to June 3, 2016 in Munich.
Ice River Springs, based out of Feversham, Ontario, is a leading North American bottled water company with manufacturing plants in eight locations throughout Canada and the United States. Since October, 2010, the company has been successfully operating a new PET recycling plant, where they produce their own resin and a 100 percent recycled PET (r-PET)water bottle.
These dual line washing plants are capable of producing 2,000 kilograms per hour of high quality clean R-PET, and 2,000 kilograms per hour of high quality clean R-HDPE. Units are constructed with a front end sorting plant which separates the commingled post-consumer stream to their respective plastic washing and processing operations, while baling the metals and paper streams for resale. The PET washing plant produces flake ideal for bottle to bottle applications, and the washing process uses the AMUT patented washing technology and a patented AX-Friction washer machine.
At the Plastic Recycling Conference held this past February in Florida, AMUT announced that its new dual line washing plant is fully operational, and capable of producing 2,000 kilograms per hour of high quality clean R-PET, and 2,000 kilograms per hour of high quality clean R-HDPE. Purchased by Intercontinental Recycling in England, the plant has been running since early this year – both lines producing for “bottle to bottle” applications.
