LWR's manure treatment technology claims spot on CleanTech Cohort of the Canadian Technology Accelerator Program

Livestock Water Recycling (LWR), a Calgary based startup with a disruptive manure treatment platform, is in New York City this week to kick off the Canadian Technology Accelerator program as part of the 2018 Cleantech Cohort.

The LWR System creates value for the food production industry by reducing the expense and environmental impact of waste liquids. LWR's technology has been proven on dairy, hog, and anaerobic digester operations in 2 Canadian provinces and 6 American states. LWR's updated LWR2 System launched in late 2017 to treat manure exponentially better on livestock farms.  This accelerator program will further prepare LWR for global expansion.

"I'm delighted to be in New York to kick off this program" says Karen Schuett, Co-Founder and CTO of LWR. "The CTA will support the expansion of the LWR2  into new markets, ensuring our platform remains the global leader in manure treatment technology" adds Schuett.

Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) Cleantech is an intensive program run by the Consulates General of Canada in New York and San Francisco that helps high-growth-potential clean tech companies. Over the next 6 weeks, the CTA will provide LWR with one-on-one market assessments and in-market events in New York, San Francisco, and Denver. The program will connect LWR with unique resources and contacts in Silicon Valley and New York City in order to springboard global growth.

"This year marked the cohort's most competitive applicant pool in the program's history," says Evan Cohen, Trade Commissioner - Clean Technology with the Consulate General of Canada. "We are very excited to have LWR join this impressive group of Canadian cleantech companies and look forward to helping them facilitate smooth entry into new markets" adds Cohen.

LWR is one of only eight Canadian companies to be accepted into the program.
