The ST51 Air/Gas Flow Meter supports the US EPA’s BACT (Best Available Control Technology) practices, which require technologies that achieve the maximum degree of emissions control that can be achieved by a particular facility and is based on a case-by-case decision that takes into account technical feasibility, cost and other energy, environmental and economic impacts. FCI designed the ST51 Flow Meter to measure and monitor GHG per the EPA’s requirements. It features a thermal mass, insertion-style flow element with flow accuracy to ±1% of reading over a broad flow range from 0.3 to 400 SFPS (0.08 to 122 MPS), and repeatability of ±0.5 percent of reading. The flow element is available for use in line sizes from 2 to 24 inches (51 to 610 mm). It operates over a wide turndown range of 100:1 and at temperatures from 0 to 250°F (-18 to 121°C). It withstands pressures up to 500 psig [34 bar (g)].
FilterWare for baghouses and other types of fabric filter dust collection systems such as pulse jet cartridge collectors enables improved process control, maintenance planning and automated EPA reporting turn-key compliant to 40 CFR 63 while simultaneously providing plants with other return on investment capabilities such as reduced operating costs and down time prevention. The software provides process control and visualization, report generation and remote services. BioAir Solutions has delivered its state-of-the-art EcoFilter biotrickling filter technology to a municipal utility facility in Corunna, Ontario, Canada.
The EcoFilter unit selected for the project in St. Clair Township will handle pump station odours and can treat an airstream up to 1,750 cubic metres per hour. The newly installed equipment is scheduled to go into operation in the Spring of 2011. EcoFilter utilizes BioAir’s patented EcoBase structured plastic synthetic media, which provides for the controlled mass transfer of odorous compounds, with consistent and reliable long term performance.
Parkson Corporation offers the OHxyPhogg, an odour removal technology with a patented air atomizing three-fluid nozzle. The OHxyPhogg combines ozone, water and air creating 5-micron-sized oxidant-enriched water particles that efficiently disperse and fill partially or fully enclosed spaces such as lift stations, wet wells, holding tanks and headworks. The oxidant fog rapidly and efficiently reacts with H2S and other reduced sulfur compounds removing the unpleasant odours. The OHxyPhogg technology also aggressively and effectively breaks down fats, oils and greases, virtually eliminating not only the buildup but the costly pumping and discharging of FOGs.
The MIDAC open path FTIR Air Monitoring System is compact, versatile, and rugged. Designed to detect, identify and measure a wide range of key contaminants simultaneously, it has been used in many different configurations to address a diverse list of applications. Analysis is onsite through a continuous sampling path of up to 1000 metres. Each system includes a rugged, sealed 0.5 cm-1 resolution interferometer equipped with a choice of beamsplitters and detectors. The analyzer is coupled to a control PC via standard ribbon cable or long-range fibre-optic link.

The AMETEK Model 9000 RM is a rugged single or multi-component gas analyzer housed in a single 19-inch, rack-mountable unit that can be integrated into Continuous Emission Monitor (CEM) systems or used alone for a variety of gas monitoring applications. The unit can be configured to measure most gas species that absorb in the UV (examples NOx, H2S and SO2). The optional low range white cell provides longer path length for measuring lower concentrations. For example, the minimum full scale for SO2 is 25 ppm, with an accuracy of one percent of full scale.
