The Au-toAir cutoff gate is a double win in energy and equipment-cost savings for any shop with a central collection system for dust, fumes or mists serving intermittently operated machines. The AutoAire gate automatically opens needed duct branches when a machine is turned on, while closing off inactive branches and machines. This fully utilizes the pick-up power of a collection system by applying as much vacuum as possible, only when and where needed, allowing a smaller fan – with smaller energy bill – to handle a system with many branches. AutoAire gates often “conserve” capital equipment costs, too. They allow sizing of the collector system based on the true usage, rather than the total requirement. The measurement of methane and non-methane components in landfill gas is essential for compliance with air quality operating permit requirements. The Mi-croFID flame ionization detector offers this capability in a portable and easy to operate instrument. Featuring flame ionization detection (FID) technology, the Mi-croFID measures methane gas accurately and quickly. A single tutor key prompts the operator through the basic operations, and critical data is displayed in less than three seconds. Further, the MicroFID provides datalogging capability so readings can be stored in the instrument and downloaded to a computer for subsequent analysis and recordkeeping purposes. In most buildings, the quality of the air we breathe depends on mechanical systems that are designed to ventilate and dilute pollutants in accordance with established engineering principles. The Weatherpak MTR is a way to increase interoper-ability by sharing weather data at a spill or incident of any type where weather can become an important factor. The new flat panel display allows you to see the weather from any Weatherpak within five to seven miles and either incorporate it into your operations or feed it directly to your plume model if they have a better or more critical location. The Panterra methane site monitor is an economical solution for monitoring combustible gases. The detector features two sensor options, a high resolution 0 to 1,000 ppm MOS sensor or a 0 to 100 percent volume in air thermal conductivity sensor. Outputs include, TTL, 0 to 5 volt proportionate gas reading and relay with NO/NC options. The Panterra sensor can be extended up to nine metres for easy location near the gas source. Detectors are DC-powered and may be connected to any 12-volt system or an AC/DC adapter is provided.
For gas plant, transmission stations, gathering systems, turbine fuel gas, and gas inlets to chemical and petrochemical plants, AMISTCO horizontal double barrel and/or vertical filter separators provide efficient solid and liquid removal in applications with high gas capacities. The manufacturer claims the compact two-phase design of these systems and minimal maintenance requirements make them excellent for offshore and other tight- space applications with high gas flow rates. The systems can also serve to clear bottlenecks existing on and offshore processes with a relatively small footprint. The coalescing filter element design removes the bulk liquid and solid particles and then coalesces the fine liquid droplets into larger ones that are removed in the second stage double-pocket vane. The double-pocket vane is very efficient and highly resistant to plugging.
A new compact odour treatment system is available to treat a wide range of air emission flow rates of 15,000 to 75,000 cfm and more. It is based on “non-thermal plasma” technology so it only uses a modest amount of electricity to operate and it never wears out or needs rebuilding. This technology is effective in removing odours from composting, biosolids, manure and other organics. It is also effective in process factories for food, pet, fish, and animal feed odours resulting from process air venting. The system converts the odour, VOCs and complex organic compounds to carbon dioxide and water. Extremely compact, a 15,000 cfm unit can treat the odour in a six-by-six-by six-feet volume. The four-foot high, 1,500 cfm-sized system is portable enough to travel to any site.

The material used in the DuraShield cartridge filter is a proprietary high-strength, polyester-reinforced media with a fluorocarbon meltblown outer surface layer that allows AAF to offer an industry-leading, high-efficiency minimum efficiency reporting value (MERV) 15 for this type of cartridge filter. The AAF Research and Development Group designed DuraShield as a surface-loading media which achieves optimum particulate release during pulse cleaning. Cemtrex Inc. has launched an in-situ emission monitor product line with Tunable Diode Laser (TDL)-based laser gas analyzer for continuous measurements of ammonia, hydrogen chloride and nitrogen oxides in flue gases emitted from power plants and incinerators.
