Northshore Manufacturing combines model 2100-SE stationary electric handler with its auto dismantling system

Northshore Manufacturing has introduced a highly efficient means of totally dismantling automobiles, by combining their most popular stationary electric material handler/excavator with its proven Auto Dismantling System. This combination is designed to recoup non-ferrous metals from end of life vehicles (ELV’s) found in engines, transmissions, wiring harnesses, radiators, heater cores, air conditioning units, etc.

Key features/benefits/options include:

  • High Productivity - With an efficient operator, this combination can process on average, 6-10 vehicles per hour.
  • Highest Energy Efficiency - The Builtrite Model 2100-SE uses on average, approximately 35 Kilowatts per hour. When comparing to an excavator using 3.5 gallons of diesel fuel per hour, the savings add up to approximately $ 17,000 per year (dependent upon diesel prices and utility rates in your area).
  • Lowest Maintenance Costs - The Model 2100-SE utilizes a high efficiency, 75HP, Baldor Industrial Electric Motor. Very little maintenance is required. Compare that with the maintenance required of a diesel engine (oil changes, air filters, shorter motor life, etc.) and the cost savings are substantial over the life of the machine.
  • Clean & Quiet - With ever increasing pressure put on recyclers to lower noise and air pollution, a stationary electric machine makes sense. With no emissions and low noise, these machines can be worked indoors, a growing trend in the recycling industry.
  • Comfortable, Roomy Cab - The cab is designed for operator comfort in mind. The seats and arm rests are ergonomically designed to reduce fatigue and increase productivity. Large windows provide great visibility.
