ISRI 2015 in Vancouver 10th largest in show history

The Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) 2015 Convention & Exposition took place for the first time in Vancouver, April 21-25. The show hosted over 3,000 attendees, along with more than 250 exhibiting equipment / technology manufacturers and service providers to the industry.

Industry sponsors of this year’s show included Liebherr, Cat, Link-Belt, RecycleGuard, Harris, Sennebogen, Sierra, Volvo and Hammel.

Several exhibiting companies introduced new products at ISRI 2015, with equipment on the show floor, including: Eriez with their SMART (System Monitoring and Reporting Technology) developed to monitor and report on frequently fluctuating measurements throughout typical recycling processes, giving operators greater control over their processes to maximize metals recovery and separation efficiency; Terex Fuchs with their latest material handler, the model MHL360 F HD, featuring a new six-cylinder turbo-charged engine that meets Tier 4 final emissions standards. Allied-Gator also showed their new MT mobile shear tip technology to the North American industry for the first time, and the new company Shear-Core displayed their range of Fortress mobile shears.

“The final numbers at this year’s ISRI were approximately 3,400 attendees which makes it our tenth largest convention,” said Mark Carpenter, Director of Media Relations and Online Communications for ISRI. “Feedback from exhibitors was that they spent more time with current and potential customers and had longer conversations which helped make a difference. Those visiting the booths were also often the decision makers. Additionally, the programming that was offered was as timely as ever and of high-quality for all attendees.”
