European plastics processors now have access to recycled polyamide compounds that come with the quality assurance of Teknor Apex Company, one of the world’s leading custom compounders and a specialist in polyamide formulations. Previously sold only in the U.S., the Recyclon family of recycled polyamide compounds are now available in Europe, supported by Teknor Apex’s backward integration into the recycling process, which includes a consistent supply of high-quality feedstocks.
The Recyclon range of compounds includes polyamide 6 and 66 engineering thermoplastics for injection moulding. Incorporating glass fibre reinforcement and performance enhancing additives, the compounds are designed to provide superior part performance in demanding end-use environments. Teknor Apex can vary the percentage loadings of recycled polymer to meet customer requirements, and compounds are supplied in black.
Potential applications range from automotive components that satisfy mandates for use of recycled material to consumer and industrial items where cost reduction is a key consideration.
