Two-ram high efficiency balers from IPS Balers

Two-ram high efficiency balers from IPS Balers

IPS’ line of TRHE (two-ram high efficiency) multi-material balers features proven piston-pump hydraulics technology, and aircraft-style hydraulics which operate at 5,000 PSI, as opposed to the 3,000 PSI typically found in conventional two-ram balers. The increased hydraulic pressure allows these balers to achieve higher throughput in a smaller footprint than standard two-rams. According to Recycling Equipment Canada, the Ontario-based, Canadian distributor of IPS equipment, these machines have a lower initial cost and lower operating costs, require less horsepower, fewer pressure filters, and use smaller-diameter hydraulic cylinders to achieve the same performance as conventional two-ram balers, resulting in energy savings up to 25 to 30 percent.

There are six IPS two-ram high efficiency baler models available, offering production rates up to 14 tons per hour and bale weights of up to 1,550 pounds for OCC. The TRHE-750-50 model is the only high-pressure two-ram baler with IPS’ patented articulating sidewall. This gives it the largest feed opening (60 inches long by 50 inches wide) of any baler in its class, according to IPS. The hinged sidewall virtually eliminates shearing and reduces running costs by 40 percent. Other key features include quick and easy installation, Wye-delta soft start, an on-board PLC for recipes and diagnostics, and a range of options.
